ABOUT:

Lisette Sivard is a fashion and costume artist who has studied at the Estonian Academy of Arts, Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and completed part of her studies in body design at FAVU in Brno. Her work almost always stems from the feeling of being ‘less’—feeling smaller or less important than others, experiencing a sense of being left behind or overlooked, and embodying otherness. She often seeks to address unequal positions and the pressing social, political, and mental conditions that many individuals face. She approaches her works through empathetic absurdity and melancholic humour.
