ABOUT:
Lisette Sivard is an artist and designer who has studied at the Estonian Academy of Arts, Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and completed part of her studies in body design at FAVU in Brno. In her
practice, she explores what it means to be a small person in a big world, addressing humane and existential concerns connected to socio-political issues, with a focus on the individual as a fragile and vulnerable body. She approaches her works through empathetic absurdity and melancholic humour.
Sivard has received the Mathilde Horlait-Dapsens Prize, JAT Prize, Eduard Wiiralt Stipend, and the Young Applied Artist Award.
